So we’ve all seen it (and if you haven’t you should). The movie Elf. We’ve also heard the famous saying, “Son of a Nutcracker!”

Well I can show you some real nutcracker decor with this expression, perfect for your home. I sold out of finished products, sorry, but here’s how I did it with Chalk Couture products that you can get here.

First, I have a 6×18 Odette Board from Chalk Couture and the Son of a Nutcracker transfer. I use black paste and smooth it on with a squeegee.
Let the letters dry or blow dry them a little to help it along. If not you will likely do something silly like drag your arm through wet paste like I have. Next I added a face with an appropriate paste color, squeegee’d, transfer removed and paste dried.
Then, I added the transfer for the parts that are red and squeegeed Red Paste on. Removed transfer and dried. Almost there…
Finally, I added the transfer for the black detail parts that are black and squeegeed Black Paste on. Paste is opaque so you can go right over the tan paste and it won’t show through. I removed transfer and dried.
And there you have it. Quick and easy Christmas decor. How whimsical and fun!

More fun projects on the way! Stay safe and Chalk on!
